Strongly CONDEMNATION of Murdering Innocent Civilians - 01/02/2012
A brutal, inhumane and unethical attack was carried out by Thai army rangers in collaboration with security guards, on January 29, 2012 in the Keranji village of Patani's Nong Chik district, on a pick-up truck carrying nine innocent Patani Malays. They, aged between 15-74, were on their way to the nearby village for a funeral pray, four of them were killed at the scene, one died later at the hospital, three other were seriously injured. The driver who was also injured, managed to escape.
They all were blindly accused with a pretext of sheltering a Patani freedom fighter who fled and got into their vehicle after an ambush earlier in a separate incident on the 4302 Ranger Camp situated 2 km from the scene by a group of the Patani fighters which injured a ranger. In a panic situation like this, a pick-up truck with nine people on board was blindly and unethically made victim. Moreover, they were later framed as in possession of a AK47 weapon and a 11 mm short-gun, set-up by the rangers in the vehicle to justify their brutal act.Therefore, the Patani United Liberation Organisation (Pulo), which strives for self-determination of the Patani people, strongly condemns this barbaric, deliberately act designed to make the existing bad conditions to the worse and that also will animate the seeds of hatred of the existing results of hundreds of years of colonization and violence on Patani soils. This will in no doubt badly damage the dream of 2015 Asian economic community, getting farer and farer to find a solution in Patani region, which is fundamental to all the possible implementation of the 2015 AEC.
If you choose to violate serious crimes, so bear the consequences ! Patani lives are not for sale and compensation which has become a trend for the Thai government after carrying out every killing and then paid out. Is the Patani blood that cheap? and despicable can be exchanged with money and deceit?.
